I am really into my Sims 2 lately. I've been watching some Sims 2 videos on You Tube and here are a couple of my latest favorite ones. I may try to make one of my own after school lets out in December.

 

My new PC arrived last Thursday. I still think ibuypower.com sucks. They ignored my numerous emails and getting busy signals trying to call them was down right frustrating. My PC arrived with the HD disconnected and the fan as well. I had to have a friend come over and connect everything for me. Then we spent over 30 min trying to figure out why I had no sound until I decided to offer a dumb suggestion of pluging the speakers into the earphone outlet. yep, these people ACTUALLY set the sound to be "outputted" through the earphone plug instead of on the back of the case. just ridiculous!

Oh well, it's fast and I can play my Sims 2 once again! Yay!

I get to attend my second internship day tomorrow too. it should be interesting. I have to wear all my PPE gear and I am just waiting to hear what the RDA will say to me when she sees me in it.

My computer is slowly hanging on for dear life. The past 2 weeks it has struggled to boot up. It will just get to the Windows screen and shut down really quick. This morning it I attempted 8 times to boot it up and still the same end result.

So, I decided to just purchase a new one. I have been wanting a new PC for the past year since mine is pretty outdated (going on 6 years old now) and it can't even run my favorite game anymore, The Sims 2. I spent 3 years on this Elvaan neighborhood. Many, many, many hours recreating the NPCs to be Elvaan using SimPE. I was really afraid I was going to lose all my downloads and neighborhoods. So the other day I bought an external HD and transfered my files to it. Good thing too because today my computer has decided it has had enough.

I called my brother-in law whom is pretty computer savy and he suggested that I do not buy a system from Best Buy or Fry's but that I get one custom built. Especially since all the stores have Windows Live preloaded on their systems and Live is not compatiable with most games right now. So I found a shop and went down there. They gave me the info on their base systems and suggested I buy my own Video Card because he said theirs are not as good. I ran out and purchsed a pretty good one according to my brother-in law. It's a e-GeForce 8600 GT. I have to return to their shop on Monday so we can begin building my PC. I can't wait! I sure do miss my little Sims.
